A method of approaching pest problems using an analysis of all situations from a holistic stand point. We emphasize change
in physical and cultural practices and careful monitoring. |

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule? |
|
In commercial food establishments, inspections are carried out on a regularly scheduled basis in order to keep monitoring for
signs of any pests. |

How are pest problems identified? |
|
By physical sightings reported by facility employees, by evidence collected, by glue traps/monitors, by pheromone traps, etc. Before controls are implemented, the pest is identified. We try to find their source and effect sanitation and maintenance
changes to remove and prevent future infestations. If, after these efforts are finished, it is still necessary to apply any
chemical, only least toxic chemicals are used. |

What practices
do you use to prevent and/or control pests? |

Inspection reports list all maintenance/sanitation items which need attending. We monitor for insects using pheromones, glue
traps and inspections. |

use biological controls? |
|
We use boric acid extensively. It is our first choice against insects. |
