What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

Preventing insects from infesting a home, property or building by knowing their behavioral habits, caulking & sealing points of entry, using baits, natural products and mechanical means of control. Only use chemicals as a last resort & always start with the least toxic method.

 

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Monthly or weekly monitoring using monitoring stations and insect glue traps. Bee & fly traps are used for all surface crawling insects, Bees, Rodents.

 

How are pest problems identified?

Rodents are identified by droppings, urine stains, rub marks and burrows. Insects are identified by glue trap evidence, droppings, stains and odor.

 

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Caulking, traps, ketch Alls, snap traps and live cages.

Do you use biological controls?

Drain Treatments for sewer flies and flytrap lights.

Do you use borates?

Boric acid dusts are used under insulation and liquid ant baits with boric acid are also used.

Dragnet (permethrin) for termite control, Talstar (bifenthrin), Demon (cypermethrin), Borid (boric acid), Drax (boric acid), Pyrethrin, Avert (avermectin), Catalyst (propetamphos), Advance (abamectin), Maxforce bait (fipronil) and Sentricon termite baiting (hexaflumuron).
