What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

The use of sanitation, pest control, chemical & non-chemical methods, monitoring and physical removal methods in the control and/or elimination of a pest problem.

 

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Roach control is provided monthly, wood destroying pests yearly and all other pests on a periodic program.

How are pest problems identified?

Complete inspections are performed prior to treatment.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Glue boards; exclusion; recommendations for sanitation & exclusion practices.

Do you use biological controls?

Pheromones for trapping moths.

Do you use borates?

Yes, use boric acid for wood treatment of termites.

Synthetic pyrethroids, Gentrol (hydroprene), insect growth regulators, Suspend (deltamethrin), Catalyst (propetamphos), Talstar (bifenthrin), Invader (mancozeb), Contrac (bromadiolone) and Drione (pyrethrin).

We use sprayers, Bulb Dusters, Aerosol cans & soil injectors to apply pesticides.

Does your company perform habitat modification?

Yes. We recommend that customers remove all items conducive to infestations. Moving all vegetation at least two feet from the foundation.

 

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

Tin cat mouse traps for mice and glue boards for roaches and mice.
