We offer organic lawn care services and products that are non-toxic, biodegradable, safe for kids, pets, and the environment.

What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

We make every effort to promote sound structures and healthy plants, which better withstand damage from pests, disease, and drought.

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

No, we don't do pest management on a specific schedule. Pest problems are identified first, then controls willl be performed and monitored.

How are pest problems identified?

We do a lawn analysis first before performing any services. If pests are identified, we'll use organic methods. We monitor the populations each time we go out to service.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

This is what we do: Every effort is made to prevent pests through working to establish the healthiest soil possible.

Do you use biological controls?

Yes: compost, compost teas, nematodes.

Do you use borates?

We haven't yet, however borates are allowed in the NOFA standards which we adhere to. For instance, Boric Acid for ant control.

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

No.

What are the top 10 pesticides you use/sell/recommend?

We won't use or sell chemicals pesticides and do not recommend any pesticides.

If pesticides are used, how much are used per year of each?

We won't use chemicals pesticides, or synthetics of any kind.

Does your company perform habitat modification?

No.

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

Aeration, de-thatching, slit seeding, hand-pulling. We will cover areas that have an over-abundance of weeds to kill them, then reseed.

What type of fertilizers do you use/sell/recommend?

Quality compost, compost tea(s), corn gluten meal in early spring and fall seasons.

How do you evaluate effectiveness of your pest management

We begin with a lawn analysis and a soil test (lab test). We use this as a benchmark to work from.
