We have located products that allow us to service buildings during construction, an existing building for prevention and an infested building for mold and for wood destroying insects. We can do this in most instances without removing the occupants from the building. I am able to provide control for multiple chemically sensitive households with normally once a year service.

What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

Integrated pest management is the use of non-chemical, non-polluting, long-lasting, non-toxic, preferably natural products that can maintain control of insects as well as mold in a building.

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

With my services, it is not necessary to maintain a schedule, other than possibly each spring. We take care of requests at the time of need.

How are pest problems identified?

I do not think it is necessary to schedule unneeded trips to a client, they should be able to recognize as need.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

I use biological as well as least-toxic management techniques.

Do you use biological controls?

Natural cleaner for caterpillars.

Do you use borates?

Yes. I use boric acid in wall voids and under eaves outside, as well as in crawl spaces; Cedar oil added to borate is excellent for control of wasps.

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

What are the top 10 pesticides you use/sell/recommend?

Diatomaceous earth, borates, compost tea, effective microorganisms, cedar chips and cedar and natural oils.

If pesticides are used, how much are used per year of each?

Does your company perform habitat modification?

Cedar chips are excellent barriers at the base of a building to repel insects.

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

What type of fertilizers do you use/sell/recommend?

What do you usually use/sell/recommend for addressing:

termites borates, diatomaceous earth

cockroaches borates, diatomaceous earth

fleas nematodes, diatomaceous earth

carpenter ants borates, diatomaceous earth

fire ants borates, diatomaceous earth

ants (indoor) borates, diatomaceous earth

crabgrass N/A

dandelions N/A

How do you evaluate effectiveness of your pest management

I evaluate my effectiveness in that I am evolving a new home treatment for prevention.
