What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

Our program of IPM for pest prevention and control thorugh identification, monitoring, chemical and non-chemical methods, mechanical alterations, structural repairs, traps and glue boards, the use of insect growth regulators (IGRs) and minimal use of other pesticides.


Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

Commercial accounts are serviced monthly, replenishing baits for roaches and rodents, replacing monitors. Most residential accounts are serviced on a quarterly schedule.

How are pest problems identified?

Problems are identified through the use of monitoring devices and customer surveys and communications.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Exclusion techniques and exterior perimeter treatments with Niban (boric acid).


Do you use biological controls?

We use pheromones.


Do you use borates?

We use BoraCare in all of our termite wood pre-treatments and fungus control. We also use Niban granules and Niban dusts.

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

We use Tempo SC (cyfluthrin), Nylar IGR (pryiproxyfen), Delta Guard granules (deltamethrin), insect growth regulators (IGRs), Outpost (diflubenzuron), Termidor (fipronil), Premise (imidacloprid), and Maxforce baits (fipronil).

What are the top 10 pesticides you use/sell/recommend?

Maxforce baits for ants and roaches indoors (fipronil), Niban for exterior locations (boric acid), and drione in attics (pyrethins and piperonyl butoxide).

If pesticides are used, how much are used per year of each?

Varies with each pest situation presented, but typically we try to minimize pesticide uses.

Does your company perform habitat modification?

Sealing cracks around plumbing, repairing screens, weather stripping, removal of wood to ground contract, etc.

Do you use any physical or mechanical controls?

Traps and glue boards, drain treatments using bio-organisms technology.
