Lady Bug provides environmentally responsible pest control by using a natural material inside your home, called diatomaceous earth. We inject it into the cracks and crevices where pests hide and it is inaccessible to children and pets. We use baits and other more responsible products as well as incorporating Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques of good inspections, improved sanitation, and sealing the structure to minimize pest entry.


What is your definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

Pest prevention, minimizing the use of chemicals by performing good inspections, improved sanitation, mechanical, biological, structural repairs, and use of least toxic pesticides when needed.

Is pest management performed on a specific schedule?

We offer various service frequencies-monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly. Mostly exterior treatment- scorpions, spiders, ants, crickets, roaches.

How are pest problems identified?

Inspections, glueboards, amount of droppings (roach, cricket, rodent), type of droppings.

What practices do you use to prevent and/or control pests?

Seal homes with caulking, reducing harborages (landscape, woodpiles, excessive moisture).

Do you use biological controls?

On a small scale- lady bugs for aphids and mites

Do you use borates?

Boric acid in roach and ant baits

Do you use synthetic chemicals?

Cynoff WP and EC, Suspend, Delta Dust, CB 80 - Pyrethin

Keep pet food in sealed containers, improve sanitation (grease and sugar, liquids) , reduce harborage (wood piles)

Mechanical- we do black light inspections at night and remove scorpians, and use glueboards for trapping scorpians and insects.
