Juan Casanova is the landscape supervisor for the University of California, Berkeley. He started working with UC Berkeley in 1994 as a Laborer Gardener B, he has a special attraction to trees and shrubs so he studied Plant Taxonomy, later he obtained his CA Contractor's State License, then he got his arborist certification ISA (International Society of Arboriculture). He holds also a Bay-Friendly Qualified Certificate and his latest achievement was to obtain his Backflow Prevention Certification. Putting all that together gives Juan a broad understanding of what landscaping is all about and gives him the ability to balance the interaction of people with nature.
