Yes. Some handweeding and hand control bulk vines. Use appropriate mulches/compost, in appropriate amounts, at appropriate times, protect soils, protect water drainage areas, etc.

We do use composts, and a variety of mulches including aged wood chips.

Evaluation

How Effectiveness of Pest Management Systems is Evaluated

Highly successful! Since the start of my career in 1971, I have found people problems, mismanagement of trees, plants and habitats and misuse/overusage of fertilizers and pesticides to be a far greater problem than the actual pest.
