Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

The practice of being able to diagnose, identify and monitor problems or potential problems and secondly being able to respond to the problem (not the symptom) in an ecologically responsible way.

How Pest Problems Are Identified

I scout properties using Growing Degree Days as a guide. I will tag a branch prior to treatment and note infestation before and after, or count larva per square feet (i.e. turf grubs)
