Definition of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
IPM emphasizes the minimal usage of pesticide and the maximum employment of less toxic alternatives. IPM includes exclusion, sanitation reports, education of staff (written and verbal) use of monitors and biological controls and pesticides are used only when absolutely necessary.

Through staff reporting, quality control inspections and the use of various types of monitoring traps.

Exclusion, sanitation and storage suggestions, pheromone traps, rodent traps, baits, insect growth regulators, sterilants, jar traps, netting and some pesticides.Biological Controls Used?
Very few, if any, biological controls are appropriate for our structural pest control.

Yes. In both dust and bait form.

Pyrethroids, Baygon (methylcarbamate), Sevin Granular (carbaryl), Talon (brodifacoum), Maxforce (fipronil), Gentrol (hydroprene), Drione (pyrethrin), and Suspend (deltamethrin).

We use netting, steel wool, copper wool and give structural suggestions to clients including caulking, weather stripping of doors, horticultural practices around the foundation, bioenzymes for drains, etc.

How Effectiveness of Pest Management Systems is Evaluated
Our effectivenss is based on how well we reduce pest populations, on cooperation from our clients, on educating clients in the dangers of pesticides and sometimes on learning a little tolerance in lieu of pesticides.
