Established in 1972 by business and community leaders, The Conservation Foundation is a not-for-profit land and watershed protection organization. Their mission is to preserve and restore natural areas and open space, protect rivers and watersheds, and promote stewardship of our environment. They are located in Naperville, Illinois, on a 60-acre working farm.

The Illinois Environmental Council (IEC) was founded in 1975 by a group of dedicated grassroots environmentalists, and promotes sound environmental laws and policies, provides a forum for environmentalists and facilitatse a statewide activist network. IEC performs legislative advocacy and serves as the environmental community's eyes, ears and voice in Springfield.

The Richman Coalition, a grassroots coalition that was formerly the North Shore Coalition Against Adulticiding, changed its name to honor Jack Richman, an outspoken environmentalist who was active in the movement against spraying adulticides for mosquitos. The Coalition is a a member of the Alliance for Informed Mosquito Management (AIMM).

Midwest Pesticide Action Center (formerly Safer Pest Control Project) is a non-profit organization which seeks to reduce the health risks and environmental impacts of pesticides by promoting safer alternatives in urban and rural Illinois. SPCP is a member of the School Pesticide Reform Coalition, the Alliance for Informed Mosquito Management (AIMM), and the Lawn Care Coalition.
